About Us

The All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Tamils is a cross-party support group with members from both Houses of the Parliament representing the voice of their constituents and the British Tamil Community in the UK.

The APPG for Tamils was formed in 2007 to promote peace with justice and dignity for the Tamil people in Sri Lanka and advance their development, so as to recognise their legitimate socio-political aspirations. The APPG for Tamils currently has 85 cross-party members, with an executive committee to run the day-to-day activities of the group.

The APPG for Tamils is one of the most successful cross-party support groups in the parliament. It has organised many activities, including debates, exhibitions, conferences, panel discussions and many forums in Parliament to promote peace, justice and democracy in Sri Lanka.

The APPG for Tamils secretariat office is run by Paul Scully MP, the current chairperson of the APPG for Tamils. Contact Paul Scully by email info@scully.org.uk
